Jewellery sizes are unforgiving — a ring half a size out is uncomfortable, and an awkward chain length means a necklace that never gets worn. Measure before you order.
Ring size
Wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure that length in millimetres. That number is the inside circumference.
| Circumference | US / CA | UK | EU |
|---|---|---|---|
| 46.5 mm | 4 | H ½ | 47 |
| 48.0 mm | 4 ½ | I ½ | 48 |
| 49.3 mm | 5 | J ½ | 49 |
| 50.6 mm | 5 ½ | K ½ | 51 |
| 51.9 mm | 6 | L ½ | 52 |
| 53.1 mm | 6 ½ | M ½ | 53 |
| 54.4 mm | 7 | N ½ | 54 |
| 55.7 mm | 7 ½ | O ½ | 56 |
Measure at the end of the day when the finger is at its largest, and measure the knuckle too — if the knuckle is wider, size to the knuckle or the ring will not pass over it.
Necklace length
- 40 cm / 16 in: sits at the base of the throat. Best on its own.
- 45 cm / 18 in: just below the collarbone. The most versatile length, and the one to pick if you only own one necklace.
- 50 cm / 20 in: on the chest, over a shirt collar.
- 60 cm / 24 in: below the bust. Works layered, or over knitwear.
Earrings
Earring dimensions are listed on each product page as width by drop, in millimetres. Studs under 8 mm read as understated and suit a second piercing; hoops above 30 mm read as a deliberate statement.
Bracelets
Measure the wrist snugly, then add 1.5 cm for a comfortable fit or 2.5 cm for a relaxed one. Chain bracelets usually offer a short extender that covers one size either way.
